Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American model, host of a TV show and comedian. Her condition became severe and she had kidney failure and organ failure that didn't recover. The new standard was hemodialyses as well as peritoneal dialysis. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital Angelica nearly died but was on the road to healing. Angelica had completed a year of dialysis and a half-year of dialysis, was now set for the most significant operation of all - an organ replacement. She would receive the donated kidney from her mom. Angelica and her mother had an operation that was successful on the 13th of September, 2013 at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from each other.
